Your Life's Vision

Your Life's Vision by Larry DeRusha, author, "Roar From Within"--Finding Your Life Purpose - Live a purpose driven life of meaning today

As the new year begins, it is always a good idea to take a look at your life's vision to decide if you are on-track or not. When I say life's vision I mean the vision your soul has for your life. If you haven't taken the time to vision, I'll give you a technique to accomplish it. If you have your vision already use this technique to re-energizing it.

Let's make a distinction between visioning and visualization, which I call imagining.

Imagining

This process is to visualize some thing or situation using your imagination. Perhaps you want a new job. Let's use the desire for a new job and the process as a demonstration.

1. Sit quietly in a place where it is comfortable. This place should be relatively dark and quiet so your senses will not engage in the outer world so easily. Then as you are sitting take a deep breath and let out all the air. Now breathe normally and close your eyes. Allow you awareness to focus on your breath. If your mind is busy thinking of all kinds of things you may want to chant - use the word "relax". Just repeat it over and over until your mind is quiet your breathing steady.

2. Next, imagine yourself in this new position/job.

3. Imagine all of the detail in this picture. Look around in your mind's eye picture and notice the detail. Notice colors, what if anything is being said what it feels like. If this is a still picture see if you can turn it into a movie.

4. Once you have this picture and detail the next critical step is to experience what it feels like when you are working in this new position. To do this look at the picture/movie and notice how wonderful or fulfilling it feels. Notice this in your body right now as if the experience is actually happening. By combining what you see hear and what you feel in your imagination, you present to the mind a circumstance-a mold into which the universe pours reality. Imagining is very important to the creation process. Being able to imagine what it is you want to create is a necessary part of conscious creation. You may want to practice this several times. I sat for two weeks on and off doing this process until I just couldn't any more. The results showed up within two weeks.

There are several cautions. If you have doubt about the circumstance you are imagining you are actually impeding its creation. The more doubt, the less likely the creation will take place. The reason why you create what you have always had is you have faith in what you have already created and believe it to be your truth. The second caution is not to expect too short a time frame. It will happen whenever you have fully accepted your desire as true of your life. The time it takes to clear your doubts is the amount of time that will pass before you experience what you wish to create. Practice this process daily to chip away at your resistance to having what you desire.

Visioning

Unlike imaging, visioning is a function of the intuitive mind. It allows you to tap into your soul and "see" your future. Visioning is sitting in the silence of meditation and allowing yourself (ego) to dissolve into the something beyond the conscious mind and beyond the Local Story to the Greater Story. It is from this place that you can "see" your life and how it unfolds for the highest good. This gives your life a reference point to determine if you are on-track.

When I first visioned my life, I sat in a quiet place where I wouldn't be disturbed for at least three hours. This would give me time to quiet my conscious mind and move into the silence. Some people take longer and some less time to accomplish this same thing. When I sat and found the silence I saw parts of a movie playing. The overall theme was helping people to find deeper meaning in their lives and to use my intuition to open people to their vision. If you haven't captured your life's vision yet, begin by taking this question into meditation: "What is the highest good that I can allow to come through me?" This question can open the door as you move into a deeper, more relaxed meditative state. If the vision doesn't come the first time you sit - try again. It may take several sittings. Few of us have cultivated our intuitive powers. Is it any wonder then why the first time or two or three we come up blank?

Furthermore, your purpose in this life can be more readily understood when you catch your life's vision. This vision is the "internal picturing" of your purpose unfolding-the reason why you exist. When you create a life plan or blueprint for your life part of the plan must be to vision your life. Take the time to catch the vision of your life and watch the miracles happen.

Create Joy Now -- Learn The Art of Emotional Transformation

Create Joy Now: " Learn How to Transform Your Painful Emotions Into Joy With the Eight Step Emotional Transformation Recipe."

By Christopher Westra, Author: I Create Joy - The Art of Emotional Transformation

Would you love to be able to learn from your emotions in a powerful way, and create more happiness in your life?

Use this recipe when you find yourself suddenly dealing with negative and painful emotions. This process lets you fully feel and learn from the emotion as quickly as possible. Then you can move on and learn from each experience. This recipe has helped so much in my life.

You can now see a short movie about these eight steps - simply click below:

Creating Joy -- See the Movie

1. Accept full responsibility for the emotion. Even if you don't fully believe it right now, tell yourself, 'I Create My Reality, and I am Creating this Emotion Right Now'. Usually, people never get beyond step one because they actually believe that outer circumstances are causing their emotions.

2. Name the emotion. Giving the emotion a name increases your clarity, awareness, and consciousness. Don't just say you feel sad or bad or mad. Expand your emotional knowledge until you can positively identify the feelings of violation, disappointment, anxiety, shame, embarrassment, and many more."

3. Let go of the story. The story is whatever it is outside yourself that you think caused the emotion. Literally "see" the story being cut off from your emotion and fading away. Let go of the story but keep the emotion that you created and which now has a name.

4. Bless the emotion. Blessing the emotion means not judging it as good or bad. Accept the emotion in a spirit of gratitude and learning. This is necessary in order to do the next step properly.

5. Feel the emotion. With no judging or resistance, simply feel the emotion. Notice where you feel the emotion physically in your body. Raise your consciousness as you become a "witness", a kind of observer of your own processes. What you resist persists, and allowing the emotion in this way is the very opposite of resistance.

6. Ask for clarity. In a spirit of learning and willingness to grow, ask for insight as to the reason for the emotion. Don't go back to the story. The "cause" of the emotion is you, and nothing outside yourself. Ask "What do I need to learn from this emotion." Also ask "What ineffective belief do I own that created this emotion."

7. Identify the belief. Create a space for the answer to come, and it will come. At the root of nearly every painful emotion is an ineffective belief. You may believe that you must make everyone happy. You may believe you can't be loved if you are not perfect. You may believe that you are simply not worth it.

8. Replace the belief. Once you have identified the belief, choose to replace it with a more effective belief. Literally say to yourself, "I now choose to reject this (ineffective belief) and adopt this (empowering belief) in its place".

Summary - You will find that during the last four steps of the process, something magical has happened! The painful emotion is gone, completely transformed into something else. The reason for this magic is the clarity and increase in consciousness.

Normally, people resist their painful emotions with intense energy, which only keeps them festering and in pain for hours. By allowing yourself to feel in a spirit of openness and acceptance, you can learn your lessons quickly.

A fantastic side benefit is that you now have a powerful new belief in place! You can grow more in a few weeks than you have in the past years by practicing this process diligently.

Power of Why--How a Three Letter Word Can Change Your Life

WHY Most People Will Never Get What They Want; How A Three Letter Word Can Change Your Life Forever and Force You to Succeed… By Kacper M. Postawski, Co-Founder, PowerfulSleep.com

Click here for a PDF version of this report

This powerful report is brought to you by PowerfulSleep.com, where you’ll learn how to supercharge your sleep system to sleep less, and have more time and energy in your life.

My friend, I’ve read and listened to more self help material in my life than I can remember, and if I were to be on my dying bed right now with only one thing to share with you from everything I’ve ever learned it would be this one concept: the power of “why.”

With it you can move mountains in your life and accomplish anything you set your heart on.

Without it, even if I were to send you the most powerful information on the face of the planet on changing your life it would be completely useless (unless you need a paper-weight).

The answer is simple:

Most people will NEVER get what they want in their lives because they don’t know “WHY” they want it!

The most impacting concept that has changed my life has been the “WHY” concept.

The world’s most popular peak performance and achievement coach Tony Robbins (TonyRobbins.com) has popularized this concept to a huge extent in his audios, seminars and books. It’s been written about in hundreds of books for the last decade and has shaped thousands of people’s lives from stagnation, unhappiness and procrastination into blissful lives of power, joy, and accomplishment.

From the time I first grasped this concept about a year ago my life has been transformed at a rate I stopped keeping track of– which is why I want to share this concept with you today.

Seeing how we are already on the topic of creating more energy in your life, and super-charging your sleep system; I would be doing you a disservice if I didn’t tell you about this dirty little secret: Most people who set out to make a change or improvement in their lives never do so because they do not understand the power of “WHY.”

Do you remember a time in your life where you set a goal for yourself that you were extremely excited about? Perhaps you even got to the point of taking some action towards that goal!

But for some reason your drive, ambition, and energy withered away only to leave you looking back at that goal weeks later feeling like a failure?

I can remember a lot of times like that in my own life. I’m sure you can too, because as human beings we all go through this natural process.

Thousands of people everyday make “decisions” on changing BIG parts of their lives

These decisions could be:

• Deciding to quit smoking.
• Setting a goal to get a better job.
• Starting a business.
• Deciding to get out of a bad relationship.
• Committing yourself to creating more health and energy in your life.

Yet most people’s decisions last only for a couple days or hours, leaving them right back where they started, feeling miserable after they’ve been seduced right back to the low quality of life they wanted to leave. When every commitment in your life turns into another unfulfilled “new year’s resolution”, you know you need a better strategy!

My friend, I submit to you that if you’ve ever found yourself in a situation in your life where you’ve decide to make a HUGE change for the better, but that change never occurred, once you grasp the concept I share with you today you will be UNSTOPPABLE.

I can guarantee you that all your major “successes” in life had this one thing in common: The Power of “WHY”

There is a secret mechanism behind your own human motivation that you need to see if you haven’t already: Most people’s decisions have two sides to them.

When we achieve something in our lives that we’ve strived to get, and someone asks us “how” we did it we often explain ourselves by saying something like… “Well – I just REALLY wanted it and was DETERMINED to get it, so I did it.”

But what happens inside you that makes you “REALLY” want something to the point that you’re “DETERMINED” to get it no matter what?

Whenever we make a decision, two elements are present:

1. The decision at hand. Example: “I’m going to lose 20 pounds this month.”

2. The reason WHY you want #1 and the emotional pressure of that “WHY.”

Here’s the secret:

Whenever you make a decision, a commitment, or a goal, the single most important thing which determines whether you will SUCCEED or not is if you’ve created a BIG enough REASON for yourself to succeed.

This is what I mean by the power of WHY?”

Whenever you set out to succeed at something, first ask yourself: “WHY is this really important to me? WHY MUST I have it?”

Once you ask this question you absolutely MUST come up with a powerful enough reason or a series of reasons which will turn your soul on fire and give you the drive necessary for you to follow through with your decision until the end, and make it IMPOSSIBLE for you to sit around and procrastinate.

I guarantee you that if you currently have some things you’ve wanted in your life for a long time but they’re still not there it’s because you haven’t taken the right action, or the right amount of consistent action in your life to get that. And the main reason you haven’t taken the action is because you haven’t given yourself a powerful enough REASON that drives you emotionally at full strength towards that goal!

Let’s quickly look at some examples of really poor decisions:

Example #1)

When most people decide they want to lose weight or do something for their body, their decision is usually one sided without even being consciously aware of the “WHY.”

Decision: “I’m going to lose 40 lbs.”

Reason: “Because I want to look thin, lean and attractive.”

That reason is nice, but it’s simply not emotionally driving enough to push your limits to the point where you stay absolutely committed to your goal until you achieve the desired result in your life.

This is why most people’s “new year’s resolutions” hardly ever get accomplished, because they are simple blatant decisions with little emotional value.

If you want to GUARANTEE your success you have to stack your reasons to a point of emotional overwhelm where there is NO ROOM for failure:

Decision: “I’m going to lose 40 lbs!”

Reason:

• Because I deserve to have a body I am proud of.
• Because I deserve to be lively, vital, and HAPPY.
• I deserve to feel attractive and I’m SICK and TIRED of living my life like this, it’s my body and I will not stand for it being this way anymore.
• I’m sick and tired of being called names and stared at by other people when I go out in public.
• I deserve to be lively, vital, and HAPPY. To feel attractive and sexy like I’m suppose to.

This sounds so simple but it’s extremely powerful. Most people don’t do it because they’re afraid of being honest with themselves.

Let’s look at another example:

Example #2)

Decision: “I’m going to create a business that will generate $20,000 in net income per month.”

Reason: “I need more money.”

To most people the idea of making more money is always very exciting in the beginning, but very few people ever do ANYTHING to improve their financial situation, because they’re comfortable at where they are. Even when they start a new business or any kind of promising venture, they give up too early or never even start fully because they haven’t harnessed the power of “WHY”.

Remember, if you truly want something you not only have to know WHAT you want, but WHY you want it.

Do you think you would give up on your goal to create a financially lucrative business if you reminded yourself WHY you wanted it with reasons like these?...

Reason:

• I’m absolutely sick and tired of living an average life and I will not stand for this bullshit anymore – I’m going to be financially free no matter what it takes!

• My family deserves the best and I hate to watch them struggle with the income they have now.

• My family deserves a bigger home to live like they’re supposed to.

• Because I will not idly stand by and watch my life and my dreams simply pass me by.

• I’m not helping ANYONE by being in this financial situation, and I absolutely loath this, this HAS to change.

Yes, most of the time when we make a decision to make a powerful change in our lives we start feeling an overwhelming desire and drive for that change, but most of the time it doesn’t last simply because we forget WHY we wanted what we set out to get in the first place!

The most incredible service you could do for yourself is to clearly define WHY you want something and keep reminding yourself of that every single day.

Without having a powerful enough “WHY” reason for doing something, chances are your motivation will fade before you accomplish what you set out to do.

My friend, I don’t know what unique situation in life you’re in, but I guarantee that when you follow the three steps below for ANY goal you want to achieve currently, or perhaps something you’re ALREDY on a mission to achieve, your results will skyrocket!

Step 1: Make a Decision

Decide on the result you want to achieve. Is it creating money? Making a change in your body? Making a change in your relationships? What is the CRYSTAL CLEAR result you want to achieve? Be specific.

Step 2: Find Out WHY You Want It!

Ask yourself these questions:

“Why is it absolutely IMPERATIVE that I MUST have this in my life?

“What will my life look like if I don’t have this in my life?”

“Are there any other people around me that will be affected by this decision? How much do I care about them? How will they suffer if I don’t do this?”

“What is the most painful thing about not having this in my life?”

“What is the most incredible and inspiring thing about this decision?”

“What will my life look like when I’ve created this change?”

You MUST figure out WHY you want what you’ve decided to do. If you can’t create enough reasons that are truly empowering, and if you don’t find that the reasons make you tingle inside with emotion and drive, then you most likely don’t REALLY want what you’ve set out to get, or you haven’t looked deep enough inside you for those reasons.

Step 3: Use the Power of “Why” Every Day

• Write your powerful “WHY” reasons on a piece of paper and stick that piece of paper somewhere where you can see it every day. Remind yourself of the REASONS you want what you’ve set out to get every single day.

• Spend at least 10 minutes a day feeling the powerful emotions you’ve written down as your “WHY” reasons.

• Visualize and feel how important it is for you to do this, and
why you won’t settle for anything less.

“Human beings are capable of incredible things. If we have a big enough REASON to do something, we’ll go to the greatest lengths to get it.” - Tony Robbins

I hope you’ve found this information extremely helpful to you, as I have enjoyed sharing it with you. Remember, information is powerful, but only information put into action makes a difference!

As I’ve said before, most people won’t make a change in their lives until they tap into the proper mechanics of human motivation. Knowing this I seek to not only provide you with powerful INFORMATION, but the MOTIVATION to put it into action and make a change in your life.

So if you decide to grab the Powerful Sleep system, I urge you to consider first and foremost: “WHY” it’s important to you to create an abundance of energy in your life?”

Why is it important for you to super-charge your sleep system so you can sleep less and have more energy than when you slept longer?

Does it mean something to you alone, or will other people’s lives be affected when you make that change in your life?

How will your life look when you’ve created that change in your life?

Only once you find the big enough “WHY” to make a change in your life, then the information you posses becomes truly Powerful.

What is Success... *Real* Success? (Part 2)

================================================
What is Success... *Real* Success? (Part 2 of 2)
- by Tony Mase
© Tony Mase - All Rights Reserved
http://www.constructivescience.com
================================================

In Part 1 of this two-part series (What is Success... *Real* Success? - Part 1 of 2), I shared with you the best definition of success I've ever read.

It comes from a book titled "How to Get What You Want" (included in the "A Powerful Life") by Wallace D. Wattles.

In it he writes:

"Getting what you want is success..."

Notice, if you will, Wallace D. Wattles did *not* write:

"'Having' what you want is success..."

Wallace D. Wattles wrote:

"*Getting* what you want is success..."

The second key word in Wallace D. Wattles' definition of success (see What is Success... *Real* Success? - Part 1 of 2 for the first) is *getting*...

*GETTING* what you want is success.

"Getting" implies being in the process of, rather than that of having already arrived. In other words, success is a process *not* a result.

In his writings, Wallace D. Wattles repeatedly makes the point that the purpose of life for men and women is growth, just as the purpose of life for trees and plants is growth.

However...

Unlike trees and plants, which grow automatically and along fixed lines, we can grow as we choose.

Trees and plants are limited to developing only certain possibilities and characteristics whereas, at an absolute minimum, we can develop any possibility and any characteristic which is or has ever been demonstrated by any other person anywhere.

We're formed for growth and under the constant necessity of growing.

As a matter of fact, as Wallace D. Wattles also points out in his writings, so strong is this constant necessity for growth that it's absolutely essential to our happiness that we continuously advance.

I was recently reminded of this fact after completing a major project upon which I'd been working for months.

For many long months I'd toiled day and night putting all the many pieces of the project together and working out hundreds of little related details with the objective of completing the project constantly in mind.

When the project was finally finished, instead of feeling happy about it, as one might expect, I actually felt sort of sad, even, for lack of a better term, mildly depressed.

Now...

Don't get me wrong...

I was certainly glad the project was finished, especially knowing that many, many people's lives would be positively impacted forever by its being finished.

However...

Instead of feeling off the walls excited about it, I felt more like I'd just lost my best friend.

I've experienced this same strange phenomenon every single time I've ever gotten anything I really wanted whether it was a house, a new car, more income or just completing a major project.

Why?

Because, as I've finally come to realize, the true fun and joy in life really come from the getting not the having.

A number of years ago, when asked why he was continuously opening new stores when he already had so many, Ray Kroc, the founder of McDonald's replied:

"When you're green you're growing. When you ripen you rot!"

Wallace D. Wattles once put it this way:

"Life without progress becomes unendurable, and the person who ceases from growth must either become imbecile or insane. The greater and more harmonious and well-rounded his growth, the happier man will be."

So...

If you're *getting* what *YOU* want...

Not getting what I want...

Not getting what someone else wants...

Not getting what you think you should want because someone else has it...

Then...

You're a success.

For example...

If what you really want is to be a teacher and you're in the process of becoming a teacher, you're a success.

On the other hand...

If what you really want is to be a teacher, but you're a lawyer because that's what your father wanted you to be or because that's what you thought you wanted to be because of the money you'd earn and you're not in the process of becoming a teacher, you're a failure, regardless of how much money you earn, how big your home is or what kind of car you drive!

Remember...

*GETTING* what *YOU* want is success!

If you're absolutely clear about what it is you want, what it is *you* really want, and you're in the process of *getting* it...

Then...

You're a success, a *real* success, right now - *TODAY*!

What is Success... *Real* Success? (Part 1 of 2)

================================================

Many people say they want success. Yet, when asked what
"success" is, they haven't a clue. In other words, they say
they want something when, at the same time, they don't even
know what that "something" is.

What is success... *real* success?

The best definition of success I've ever read comes from the writings of Wallace D. Wattles, best known for his classic masterpiece, "The Science of Getting Rich" (included in the "A Powerful Life").

In Chapter 1 of "How to Get What You Want" (included in the "A Powerful Life"), a book he wrote prior to "The Science of Getting Rich", Wallace D. Wattles writes:

"Getting what you want is success..."

There are two key words in Wallace D. Wattles' definition of
success, the first one is *you*...

Getting what *YOU* want is success.

Not getting what I want...

Not getting what someone else wants...

Not getting what you think you should want because someone
else has it...

Getting what *YOU* want is success!

Question for you...

What do *YOU* want...

What do you *really* want?

Before I began studying Wallace D. Wattles' writings and
applying their principles to my life, I had all sorts of
"goals" on my "goals list" that, at the time, I thought were
things I wanted.

However...

When I examined those goals carefully, I discovered I didn't
*really* want them at all.

Travel is one example that immediately comes to mind. I had
a number of travel goals on my goals list.

The funny part is...

I don't really like to travel all that much!

Here's another one...

I had a goal to own a closet full of finely tailored, custom
made suits.

The truth is, I'm perfectly comfortable and content running
around in jeans and a t-shirt. As a matter of fact, at the
same time I had this goal on my list, I was desperately
trying to get to a point in my life where I *didn't* have to
wear a suit!

One more...

And this one, looking back on it, was downright ridiculous.

I had a goal to own a white Lincoln Town Car stretch
limousine and have my own personal chauffeur.

What's wrong with that, you ask?

Nothing, except there are very few things I like less than
being a passenger in a car, especially being a passenger in
the back seat of a car.

Hmmm...

No wonder I wasn't making any progress towards my goals...

They weren't *my* goals!

Whose goals were they?

I honestly don't know.

All I know is they weren't mine. :-)

I guess I thought these were things "successful" people did
or had so, since I wanted to be "successful", they were what
I should want.

I know that sounds silly but, judging from some of the
questions I get, there are a whole lot of folks out there
who think they "should" want all sorts of things they don't
really want at all.

Now...

Am I saying there's anything wrong with wanting travel,
custom made clothes or chauffeur driven limousines?

Absolutely not!

Unless...

*You* don't *really* want those things!

So...

How do you determine if *you* really want something?

Simple...

For each of your wants, ask yourself and then answer these
two very important questions:

1. Why *specifically* do I want this?

Be very, *very* specific in your answers and keep asking
yourself "why" to each of your answers until you're not able
to answer the question any more.

If you can't come up with one or more clear, "convincing",
meaningful reasons why *you* want something then you don't
*really* want it, you just "think" you do.

2. How does it *feel* now that I have this?

Close your eyes and imagine yourself as having already
attained that which you want and pay particular attention to
how you "feel" now that you have it.

If it doesn't "feel" good or if all you experience is an
empty, "so what" feeling, again, you don't *really* want it,
you just "think" you do.

In the first chapter of "How to Get What You Want", Wallace
D. Wattles also says this about success:

"Success is essentially the same, whether it results in the
attainment of health, wealth, development or position;
success is attainment, without regard to the things
attained."

In other words...

All success is the same.

The only difference is what *you* want.

Getting what *YOU* want is success!

Once you determine what *you* want, what you *really* want,
what "success" is to you and only *you*, your life will
change, it'll change rather dramatically and it'll change
faster than you ever thought possible.

What's the second key word in Wallace D. Wattles' definition
of success?

Stay tuned for the answer in Part 2 of this series! :-)

What 9/11 and a 3-Year-Old Taught Me About Gratitude

What 9/11 and a 3-Year-Old Taught Me About Gratitude - by Tony Mase

© Tony Mase - All Rights Reserved
http://www.constructivescience.com
====================================================

One of the most important concepts Wallace D. Wattles wrote about in his books was gratitude. As a matter of fact, in the book for which he's best known, "The Science of Getting Rich", Wallace D. Wattles devoted an entire chapter to gratitude and used the word gratitude some thirty-two times throughout the book.

Although I'd been studying "The Science of Getting Rich" by Wallace D. Wattles for over three years, and made incredible changes in my life by applying its principles, I still didn't completely get this gratitude "thing".

I understood the importance of gratitude intellectually and, at least to some extent, was applying it in my life, but, and I don't know if this was just a "guy thing" or what, I didn't feel like I really understood it emotionally at a deep down, visceral level.

Then it happened...

September 11, 2001...

A day few of us will ever forget.

The one thing I'll always remember most about that fateful day was my son, who was three years old at the time, looking at me with his big brown eyes asking me the dreaded but inevitable...

"Why Daddy?"

For lack of anything better, I gave him the best good guy, bad guy analogy I could come with at the time and then, for whatever reason, I ended it with, "as bad as this appears to be, we have a lot to be thankful for."

Hoping that was that, I quickly began thinking of something else we could do or talk about to get his mind off the horror he'd just witnessed on television.

Suddenly, I heard him ask...

"Like what Daddy?"

"Like what, what?" I replied.

"Like what we have to be thankful for?" he asked.

"Great," I thought to myself, "I thought we were done with this."

"Well," I said, "we can be thankful that you, me and mommy are okay. A lot of little boys and girls lost their mommies or daddies today. Some of them lost both."

He thought for a moment and then asked, "What else Daddy?"

"Well," I replied, "we can be thankful that so many people were able to get out of those buildings alive before they collapsed."

"What else Daddy?" he asked.

"Well..." I hesitated, desperately trying to think of something else.

"Come on Daddy," he said, "what else we have to be thankful for?"

"Well," I said, "we can be thankful for all the brave fire fighters, paramedics and police officers who are helping those who need it."

"And the fire fighters have fire trucks with lights and sirens, huh Daddy?" he asked with a smile on his face.

"Yes son, they do," I replied, returning his smile.

"What else Daddy?" he asked.

"Well son," I said, "we can be thankful that we have a strong military to protect us."

"And they have tanks, huh Daddy?" he asked, this time with a really big smile (for whatever reason, he *really* likes tanks :-)).

"Yes son, they do," I replied, "and they have lots of them."

"What else we have to be thankful for Daddy?" he asked...

As his "grilling" continued (which at the time seemed like it went on forever :-)), and the list of things we had to be thankful for grew larger and larger and larger, I could *feel*, rather dramatically, our thoughts shift from those of doubt, uncertainty, fear and worry, to those of certainty and faith.

Finally...

I got it! :-)

You see, all too often, when something's not "right" in our lives, or something's not the way we'd prefer it to be, even though it may be only a *tiny* portion of our overall experience, we tend to focus all our mental energy on it causing us to lose our perspective and, in the process, we virtually insure we'll get more of the same... more of what we *don't* want.

On the other hand...

Gratitude forces us to focus on what's right in our lives, on the things that are the way we'd prefer them to be, which, chances are, are the overwhelming majority of our
experience at any given time, causing us to put things in their proper perspective and thereby virtually insuring we'll get more of the same... more of what we *do* want!

Since that unforgettable day, I've repeated this simple exercise dozens of times...

Whenever I feel thoughts of doubt, uncertainty, fear or worry starting to creep in, I simply ask myself what I have to be thankful for right *now* and then I keep asking...

What else...

What else...

What else...

It's never failed yet to almost instantly help me regain a "constructive" perspective and replace those "destructive" thoughts of doubt, uncertainty, fear and worry with
"constructive" thoughts of certainty and faith.

Thanks son. :-)

How to make "Self-Improvement" Work Every Time!

How to make "Self-Improvement" Work Every Time!
By Bob Doyle, Wealth Beyond Reason

There is an inherent problem with the approach most people take to self-improvement of any kind. There is a presupposition that there is something wrong that needs fixing. Perhaps it is true that there are areas in their lives that they wish to change. However, the mindset with which they approach transformation will very often NEGATE any positive results they might have. Why? Because all of their focus is on the PROBLEM they are trying to solve, rather than their vision for what their life will be like on without the alleged problem.

There is a very basic physical natural law which ultimately determines ANY success on ANY level. This law dictates exactly what our experience will be from moment to moment. Best of all, this law is fully under our control at all times, even if we are not aware of it.

This "law" is the Law of Attraction. Most of the time, you hear about this law in terms of how it will help you to attract wealth or abundance in general. However, the Law of Attraction transcends just those basic desires. The Law of Attraction dictates that you will receive back exactly what you "vibrate"...that is, what you are FEELING. Where is your attention? Is it on the feelings associated with the problem, or with the feelings of no longer having the problem?

If you approach self-improvement material with the desire to "get rid of the problem", and if all your feelings are on how terrible or frustrating this "problem" is, Universal Law dictates that you will simply attract MORE of those feelings...more of the circumstances that brought the problem to you in the first place. The Universe isn’t "out to get you". It is simply responding to the "request" that you are putting out by way of your feelings.

If, however, you approach your self-improvement solutions with high positive feelings associated with what your life WILL be...if you visualize your success with your program of choice on all sensory levels, particularly on the level of EMOTION, you will literally magnetically ATTRACT the success you are looking for! Miracles will occur!

While this may sound very "mystic" or even preposterous, I submit to you that EVERY aspect of your life right now has been brought to you in perfect response to your prevailing thoughts and beliefs which directly effect your emotional state, which in turn causes you to emit very specific and magnetic frequencies which attract like frequencies.

We must never forget that beyond simply being flesh and bone, we are, at a molecular level, ENERGY. And our personal energy obeys the same physical laws as all other Energy which we study more traditionally.

The wealthiest, most successful people in the world use the Law of Attraction (albeit often unconsciously) to effortlessly bring into their lives whatever they envision. This could be wealth, successful businesses, or satisfying relationships. Or, it could simply be wisdom, peace of mind, and a sense of purpose.

The big secret is that you truly CAN have whatever you want, regardless of how "pie-in-the-sky" this may sound. You need only learn a few key concepts about HOW to ask for what you want to begin receiving it in abundance! Despite what you may currently believe or have been taught, it is not the purpose of our lives to struggle, to work hard for years, or try to "figure things out". Our job is to do what we love to do. When we do that with full trust and knowing that doing so will naturally attract our deepest desires, we become powerful magnets, which absolutely assures our success.

The Mystery School Of Life

The Mystery School Of Life
by Asoka Selvarajah, Ph.D

“A Mystery School is a university of the soul, a school for the study of the mysteries of the inner nature of Man and of surrounding nature. By understanding these mysteries, the student perceives his intimate relationship with divinity, and strives through self-discipline and devotion to become at one with his inner god.” ... Grace K. Knoche

The reason the Mysteries are expressed in symbolic language is because they are an attempt to describe what cannot be described in human language. Therefore, the description is presented in symbolic picture form and is learned intuitively. Our lives are similar. We experience many situations and meet many people. All of these interactions can be seen as having deeply symbolic meanings. They are presenting to us the lessons we most need to know in this complex interwoven fabric of existence.

Therefore, a Mystery School is a place where you perceive life much more intensively, seeing the pattern and meaning there that is invisible to other people. Within this school, you may well learn a range of esoteric arts; such as Astrology, Tarot, Kabbalah, Healing, and so on. However, this is not all that is on offer, and one should be cautious of getting focused on these to the exclusion of the greater purpose. There is a whole other depth that you will never reach by remaining fascinated with these subjects alone.

The whole point of these disciplines is to work upon, and improve, your inner being; your connection with Source. All too many people become fascinated with the mechanics, and become extremely expert in working with them too, but miss the central point to which they all point.

The whole point of your life is to create a perfected vessel in which the Divine Source can reside. Within the Mystery tradition, mind training was paramount. The curriculum focused upon transforming the inner world of the student. It was no less rigorous than any modern university course that we might attend.

So what would the results of such intense inner training be upon the aspirant?

It is no less than a miracle. You learn to meet the strains and challenges of daily living, and to remain a master of your thoughts; in control and in tranquillity at all times. Wherever you are right now, and no matter how things are, you greet it all with an attitude of total acceptance. No matter how imperfect things appear, you perceive all to be as it should be.

To think otherwise is to be at odds with what is. Such an attitude is to be against the divine plan, and to judge from an imperfect and limited position upon things that transcend your understanding. So, the graduate of the Mystery School accepts all without judgment or question. This is certainly a revolutionary mindset for most people. Few of us are capable of sustaining such an approach for more than a few minutes. That is precisely why the mental training that the Mystery School provides is so intense.

At the same time, it is not a purely passive approach to life either. Wherever there is imbalance, the Mystery School graduate brings harmony, and where there is sorrow, love. Thus, we become co-creators within the higher purposes of the Source of All, and perform the spiritual work that we have been sent to do.

It is important to know that the Mysteries often seem paradoxical
at the human level of understanding. Indeed, we see fiery conflicts between the major religions. People are even willing to die for their version of spiritual truth. It almost seems as if where you are born in the world determines whether you believe in the absolute unity of God of the Moslem, or in the Triune nature as described by the Christian, or indeed in the many faces of God as followed by the Hindu. Each teaching gives totally disparate and seemingly irreconcilable “truths”. Yet, each has provided the world with its own share of enlightened initiates and gurus.

Within the Mystery School, you do not merely learn tolerance for
these disparate views. You learn to resolve the paradoxes. Moreover, this is not achieved by reaching a compromise; one that may be invisible to the uninitiated. Instead, your consciousness moves to such a level that the paradox no longer exists because you see spiritual reality as it really is.

How to STOP Being a Person that NOTHING Seems to Work For

How to STOP Being a Person that NOTHING Seems to Work For By Bob Doyle, Wealth Beyond Reason

Do you ever wonder why great things happen to some people
but not to you?

Do you ever read about people who have tried this or that
product and had some incredible result, but when you try it,
you don't get the same result?

Have you become a person who NOTHING seems to work for?

Maybe you've thought about trying the some new self-
improvement package that sounds great, , but you're just so
tired of things not working for you.

Let's take a look at how you've gotten where you are and why
these things might happen.

First, at some point, you tried something - either based on
a recommendation, a testimonial you read, or some other
reason. Basically, you tried it based on someone else's
positive experience. However, when you tried it, you did not
get the same result so you made the assumption that it
didn't work for you. But how true IS this? Often - VERY
often - things work differently for different people, and
it's a mistake to judge your life by comparing it with
others. Perhaps you just needed more time. Maybe your
circumstances are completely different! Regardless, however,
you made up - you CREATED a Truth for yourself at that time,
that truth being "This didn't work", although remember, that
truth is based only on your surface comparison with someone
else...and it really doesn't have anything to do with you,
and what - in the cosmic scheme of things - is best for you.
Those results you read about for that other person are what
was right at that time for them, and that doesn't
necessarily mean that NOW is the time for you and that it
will happen to you the same way that it happened for them!

From then on, every thing else you try is then compared to
that first experience, with the Truth in your mind being
"Well, it didn't work that time...let's see if THIS works".
So again you're comparing...and not really trying anything
"purely" and on it's own merit without preconceived notions
or judgements. You are already working against yourself! You
may not yet automatically expect failure, but you have it as
an option, and perhaps even a probability based on your
previous experiences.

The more things you try with this mindset, the more you
fortify this mindset - it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy
that "Nothing works for me". Before you know it, that is who
you Become. The person you are about reaching your specific
goals or trying this or that product or technology is "It
works for others but never for me." Once you reach that
place, it will most certainly become true for you.

So what do you do? How do you break out of this pattern?
First, acknowledge how you got here...by comparing yourself
or your results with other people who are really on a
completely different path then you, although they may have
been after similar results. Then create a new idea for
yourself - give yourself permission to experience success on
your own terms, without judging what happens based on other
people or expectations set up by anyone other than yourself.

Once you believe that you deserve to succeed and that you
CAN succeed and that you WILL succeed, your life will
change. Whatever you try will work for you, because YOU
define what "working" is - not somebody else! You set your
own timetable, you are relaxed, and non-judgement. Your
infinite patience and lack of expectation based Externally,
will work with you in very powerful ways and you will regain
control over your destiny.
